Thinkgage
Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 29, 2026
Important: Thinkgage is a content creation and publishing tool used by LinkedIn members and company page administrators. Thinkgage does not collect, access, process, or store any data about people who view, like, comment on, or otherwise interact with content published on LinkedIn. All such interactions occur entirely within LinkedIn's platform and are governed solely by LinkedIn's Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to registered users of Thinkgage (the "Service").
1. Introduction
Thinkgage ("we", "us", or "our") operates thinkgage.io, an AI-powered LinkedIn thought leadership platform for enterprises. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information about people who register for and use the Service. It does not apply to LinkedIn users who have no account with Thinkgage.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Who Uses Thinkgage
Thinkgage has a single category of user:
LinkedIn Account Holders and Page Administrators. These are individuals who create a Thinkgage account using their own credentials, connect their personal LinkedIn profile or a LinkedIn company page they administer, and use the Service to plan, generate, approve, and publish content. This Privacy Policy applies to these users exclusively.
Thinkgage has no relationship with, and collects no data about, the general public or LinkedIn members who read or interact with posts published through the Service. Those individuals interact solely with LinkedIn, not with Thinkgage.
3. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information from registered users of the Service:
3.1 Account and Authentication Data
When you register, we collect:
- Name and email address
- Password, stored as a secure one-way hash — never in plain text
- Workspace name and configuration settings
3.2 LinkedIn Connection Data
When you connect your LinkedIn personal profile or a company page you administer, we collect and store the following via the LinkedIn API, limited strictly to the permissions you grant:
- Your LinkedIn member ID or organization ID, display name, and profile or logo image URL
- OAuth access tokens, stored encrypted, which allow Thinkgage to publish content on your behalf when you explicitly approve a post
- Aggregate post performance metrics returned by the LinkedIn API for posts published through Thinkgage: impressions, reactions, comments, shares, and clicks. These are page-level statistics provided by LinkedIn and do not identify individual people who interacted with your content.
We do not receive, store, or process any data about the identities, profiles, or behavior of LinkedIn members who view or interact with content you publish. LinkedIn does not share that information with Thinkgage.
3.3 Content and Configuration Data
We store the content and settings you create within the Service, including:
- AI-generated post drafts, and the approved and published versions of those posts
- Content angles, rules, brand voice profiles, and scheduling preferences you configure
- Source articles fetched from RSS feeds, news APIs, or public web pages to inform content generation
- Rejection reasons and notes you provide when declining a generated post
3.4 Usage and Technical Data
We automatically collect limited technical data to operate and maintain the Service:
- Server logs: IP addresses, request paths, timestamps, and HTTP status codes
- Error reports and diagnostic data
- Session tokens used to authenticate your browser session
3.5 Team and Workspace Data
If you invite colleagues to your workspace, we store their email addresses to send invitations and manage access. Invited users become subject to this Privacy Policy upon accepting an invitation.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
- To provide the Service — generating, scheduling, and publishing LinkedIn content on your behalf
- To personalize AI-generated content based on your configured voice profiles, angles, and rules
- To display the aggregate post performance metrics returned by LinkedIn
- To send transactional emails such as workspace invitations, password resets, and publishing failure notifications
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- To debug issues, maintain service reliability, and improve the Service
- To comply with legal obligations
5. LinkedIn API Usage and Data Boundaries
Thinkgage is a publishing tool, not a listener. We send content to LinkedIn on your behalf. We do not monitor LinkedIn feeds, scrape LinkedIn profiles, or receive data about people who engage with your posts beyond the aggregate numeric metrics (e.g., total impressions) that LinkedIn makes available to page administrators through its API.
Our use of the LinkedIn API is governed by the LinkedIn API Terms of Use. Specifically:
- We request only the LinkedIn API permissions necessary to publish content and retrieve aggregate performance statistics
- We do not sell, transfer, or share LinkedIn data with third parties for advertising or any independent commercial purpose
- We do not use LinkedIn data to build profiles of, or target, LinkedIn members who are not registered Thinkgage users
- LinkedIn access tokens are stored encrypted and are deleted when you disconnect a page or close your account
The aggregate analytics metrics we receive (impressions, reactions, etc.) are statistics about your content's performance, not information about individual LinkedIn members. We cannot identify any person from these metrics.
6. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing personal data are:
- Contract performance — processing necessary to deliver the Service you have subscribed to
- Legitimate interests — security monitoring, fraud prevention, and service improvement, balanced against your rights
- Consent — where you have explicitly opted in to a specific processing activity
- Legal obligation — compliance with applicable laws
7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data only as follows:
7.1 Infrastructure and Service Providers
We share data with trusted vendors who process it on our behalf under confidentiality obligations:
- Google Cloud Platform — hosting, database, storage, and secret management
- Google AI Studio (Gemini) — AI content generation and text embeddings
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI strategy and content quality analysis
- Replicate — AI image generation
- Email delivery provider — sending transactional emails
7.2 LinkedIn
When you approve a post for publication, its content is transmitted to LinkedIn via the LinkedIn API under your authorization. LinkedIn then processes and displays that content according to its own terms and privacy policy.
7.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose data when required by applicable law, court order, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Thinkgage, our users, or the public.
7.4 Business Transfers
If Thinkgage is acquired or its assets are transferred, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected users and ensure the acquiring party honors this policy.
8. Data Retention
- Account data is retained until you delete your account
- Published posts and aggregate analytics data are retained to power historical analytics features
- Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes
- LinkedIn access tokens are deleted when you disconnect a page or delete your account
Workspace and user deletion. When a workspace administrator deletes a workspace, all data associated with that workspace is permanently deleted, including posts, content sources, configuration settings, angle and rule definitions, analytics data, and all team member records. When an individual user account is deleted — whether by the user or by a workspace administrator — all personal data associated with that user is permanently removed. We do not retain any of this data after deletion, and it cannot be recovered.
You may request deletion of your data at any time as described in Section 10.
9. Data Security
- All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- LinkedIn access tokens and credentials are stored encrypted in Google Cloud Secret Manager
- Database access is restricted to authorized service accounts with least-privilege permissions
- Rate limiting and session management are enforced on all authenticated endpoints
No security system is impenetrable. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate data
- Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated data
- Portability — request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection / Restriction — object to or restrict certain processing activities
- Withdrawal of consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@thinkgage.io. We will respond within 30 days. EEA/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
11. Cookies and Local Storage
Thinkgage uses session cookies strictly necessary for authentication and to maintain your logged-in state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral tracking cookies.
12. Children
Thinkgage is intended for use by business professionals and enterprises. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. Contact us at info@thinkgage.io if you believe a minor has provided us with personal data.
13. International Data Transfers
Thinkgage's infrastructure is hosted on Google Cloud Platform in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. We rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers in accordance with applicable law.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
